Dr. Jonathan Hansche
Dr. Jonathan Hansche grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah; Denver, Colorado; and the San Francisco Bay Area before finishing high school in Los Angeles. He earned a biology degree from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and then graduated with honors from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a one-year internship at an internal medicine and cardiology specialty practice in West Los Angeles, he returned to San Diego to work in general practice. There, he developed a strong interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound. Dr. Hansche is a proponent of preventive medicine and believes that early disease detection is crucial for effective treatment and management. He is passionate about both his clients and their pets, emphasizing the importance of communication to provide the best care.
Dr. Hansche met his wife while practicing in San Diego. They have three children, to whom he dedicates much of his free time. In 2013, they moved from San Diego to Columbia, SC, where he practiced for five years before relocating to the upstate. Currently, they have five dogs, seven cats, and eighteen chickens. Dr. Hansche enjoys gardening, nature walks, and spending time with his family.
